High school students and teachers
Summer Mentorship
This three-week summer program allows high school students to experience engineering education at the college level. Housing and meals are provided, and students work closely with a faculty mentor on a cutting-edge research project. This program gives students a competitive edge in the college application process.
RET-Nano
This NSF Research Experiences for Teachers program is jointly run by Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania. Eighteen high school and community college teachers work in research labs at Drexel or Penn for five weeks over the summer. Teachers take what they learned in the lab and share it with their classes in the fall.
Science In Motion (SIM) is an innovative basic education/higher education partnership funded by the state of Pennsylvania that provides equipment and materials for high school chemistry and middle school earth science classes.
